June 11 – Crawfordsville – Albert Galey, 69, a mine foreman and coal operator in the Terre Haute area for more than 15 years died at the Rudisill Nursing Home here at 8:42 a.m. Thursday. He was mine foreman at the Freeman Coal Company and was a coal operator in the Terre Haute area prior to moving to Temple City, Calif about 10 years ago. He had made his home in Crawfordsvill about one month. Surviving are one son, Donald L. Galey of Crawfordsville; a grandson; two brothers, John and Everett Galey both of Terre Haute and two sisters, Mrs. Clare Williams and Mrs. Lillie Martin both of Los Angeles. The body was taken to Bright Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. HC Loveland will officiate and burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery at Terre Haute.
